Animage's Reviews: Anime Spring Line up part 2

Freezing

It took me to the second episode to give a proper review of this anime. So far it has appeal for both pervs and feminists.
The perv Factor, there are tons of random panty, crotch, 100% bare boob and the random disintegration of clothes throughout the entire show so far. For the ladies its the fact that the women of this anime are the most powerful people int he world and the men are more or less like pets to them because they act as limiters ( which they have not fully explained exactly what that does aside from being the Pandora's bitch ).

The story is fairly generic and its the second anime that share similar plots. Its your basic school trains warriors, warriors fight in war ( duur) random fluffy moments between the main characters including sexual tensions here and there, chixors are some sort of super mechanized something or the other all that jazz. Dude with sister complex etc etc.
To some degree the story is very similar to Generator Rex
Rating: 5/10, though it has a very basic plot its somewhat keeps my attention and it has plus sides for all fans alike

Infinite Stratos
Yet another mechanized suit anime with a hint of harem-ness. ( only in this one his sister is alive )
There really isn't much i can tell you its another very generic plot. Dude, for one reason or the other, is the only dude on earth who can pilot the governments latest mechsuit in the war, what they warring about it really does not matter ( how much you wanna bet he's gonna get a rival dude by ep 5 ). For whatever reason this makes all the girls in the school hate him untill he does some sexy mech stuff that just make em all jizz in their pants and want to jump his bone later on.
Generally that is it, aside from him supposed to live up to his famous sister there isn't much more to it than harem-ness and sexual tensions. ( this is why japanese get nosebleeds, all this damn tension)

Rating: 3/10 random dude damage is somewhat amusing

Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica

This is what i call the classic " Good anime, Crappy name" franchise where the name was enough for you not to bother but there actually was something pretty good underneath it all, never judge a book by its cover...literally in this case.

When i saw the title, art style and synopsis i thought " well looks like another Lyrical Nanoha-like anime...best ignore it" luckily for me i read anotehr friend review on it and gave it another look over. The best way to describe this anime is if Sailormoon or card captor sakura were re-written for this day and age it would come out somehting like this.

For a henshin style anime its pretty dark in may areas which reminds me a bit of Persona_4 with all the weird distorted enemies int he darkness. Even the magical girls are allot grittier than the ol sailormoon days when the moment they met another like themselves they want to be friends, Ha they'd be lucky if one of the other Maho shojo don't come and stab them int he back with a moon wand (lol).

Not gonna spoil this one this is one i suggest you try out for yourselves
Rating: 7/10

Wandering Son (Houro Musuko)
I was a little disappointed when i watched this after waiting to see if they would do one of my favored manga any justice, they did a pretty ok job of it but really if i did not read the manga first i'd of probably been really lost. From the point where they started its makes it seem like its about a boy coming to terms with his homosexuality where in fact it's not. The story is really about a boy and a girl who are trying to find themselves, in the process they find common ground in occasionally cross dressing which to both they find more comfort in wearing clothes of the opposite gender rather than their own.
They literally threw out at least 20 chapters of the manga and abridged it into one episode. Allot of key plot points were omitted and watered down.
My suggestion if for you to read the manga rather than watching the anime.

Rating 2/10

Wolverine
I have two words for this anime " just no.." I followed x-men for a portion of my life and even though it makes allot of sense story-wise because in the original x-men story wolverine did stay for some time in japan there are soo many problems with this in my opinion.

  1. Wrong time period, when he dealt with deathstrike and yuriko wasn't that during world war 1 or 2       ( history not my forte, i know a certain person who will infor me of the real time period sooner or later)
  2. He too pretty, we all know that wolverine is a shot hairy ass mofo, not a sparkley leggy bisshie man.
  3. He too tall, that or the ppl in japan are allot tinier than we give them credit for
On the plus side though they made the healing factor allot more believable than the original X-men
I can only assume more hardcore fans might enjoy this but to me this jsut aint right i give it a 3/10

Well that's it for part 2 of my reviews hope you all enjoy.
